About the Film Festival
An environmental film festival, inside a federal park, in the brazilian capital of mountaineering.
The YVY -1st Teresópolis Mountain and Environmental Film Festival will be held in the stunning Serra dos Órgãos National Park in Teresópolis, the capital of Brazilian mountaineering.
This 4-day event, from May 15 to 18, 2025, celebrates nature and highlights the urgent need for climate action.
There will be several films, both feature-length and short, that address the theme of the environment.
During the festival, we will have a rich program with film screenings, workshops, thematic panels and outdoor activities, where we will discuss crucial environmental issues and explore solutions for a sustainable future.

1. Objective
The YVY - 1st Teresópolis Environmental and Mountain Film Festival aims to promote environmental awareness by showing films that have mountaineering and/or environmental themes.
2. Entry Categories
Feature Film: Films lasting more than 50 minutes.
Short Film: Films lasting up to 20 minutes.
Mostrinha: Films produced by schools in Teresópolis, lasting up to 5 minutes.
3. Deadlines
Entries: Until March 30, 2025.
Announcement of Selected Films: April 20, 2025.
4. Entry Criteria
Films must address themes related to the environment and/or mountaineering.
National and international productions may be entered.
Each participant may enter as many films as they wish, as long as they meet the criteria for each category.
Registration is free for Brazilian films.
The registration platform will be Sfilmmaker.
5. Registration Process
Registration must be completed by filling out the form available on the Sfilmmaker platform
Foreign language films must have separate subtitles in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
6. Selection
The registered films will be evaluated by a committee made up of professionals from the areas of cinema, environment and mountaineering.
The evaluation criteria include thematic relevance, originality, technical quality and narrative.
7. Promotion and Screening
The selected films will be announced on the festival's official website, on the Sfilmmaker platform and on its social networks on April 20, 2025.
The selected films will be screened during the festival, which will take place at the Serra dos Órgãos National Park, in Teresópolis, from May 15 to 18, 2025.
8. Copyright
Participants must ensure that they have all necessary rights to the films submitted and that they do not infringe the rights of third parties.
By registering, participants authorize the screening of the films during the festival and at FCAMT promotional events, at no additional cost.
9. General Provisions
Registration for the festival implies full acceptance of these regulations.
Any omissions will be resolved by the festival organizers.
