About the Film Festival
Baños de Agua Santa International Film Festival reaches its fourth edition with the firm purpose of continuing to contribute to the exhibition, celebration, and promotion of universal cinema in all its expressions and trends.
We digitally award and certify feature films, documentaries, and short films in sections for professionals, amateurs, and students, expanding opportunities for both national and international participation. This year, works will be screened on our networks, provided the authors authorize their distribution.
In addition, we will hold the traditional online meeting of directors and film students, as a space for dialogue, reflection, and project negotiation.
BASIFF has consolidated and launched the Locations Films Service project; those who attend in person will be able to enjoy a tour of filming locations in our region

CALL FOR ENTRIES BASIFF 2026
Films from anywhere in the world are accepted, of all genres, niches, and types, in all formats. This includes independent cinema, low- or high-budget films, auteur cinema, and all themes, whether short films or feature-length fiction, documentaries, or animation. Films whose primary language is not Spanish must include Spanish subtitles; otherwise, they will be disqualified.
Works completed in 2023, 2024, and 2025 may participate in the official competition, prior to the closing date of this call.
The festival accepts short films from 1 to 20 minutes in length; documentaries of unlimited duration; and feature films of 50 minutes or more, with no maximum limit. No exceptions are made for any category or genre.
Incomplete works will not be accepted.
Each filmmaker, production company, or film distributor must register their work in the appropriate category. There is no limit on the number of entries.
Professionals, amateurs, and students may participate under the premise of Creative Freedom.
(Example themes: fiction, horror, historical, animated, environmental, human rights, pets and animals, LGTB, multicultural, ethnic, Amazon, highlands and coast, migration, family and friendship, human rights, accessible and inclusive destinations, and any themes chosen by the creators, reaffirming creative freedom
