Introduction to the film festival

- THIS IS LIVE EVENT WITH THEATRE SCREENINGS, WORKSHOPS, NETWORKING EVENTS, AND AWARD SHOWS HAPPENING THIS SUMMER - Created by purpose-driven producers and directors, The Most Important Films / TMIF Festival is an International Imdb qualifying Film Festival and Writer's Competition in Las Vegas. The TMIF Impact Awards show 20/21 will run LIVE from July 26, 2021, to August 1, 2021, at the beautiful Galaxy Luxury Theaters in Las Vegas, where our TMIF Impact Award winners will be honored at the live award show dedicated to them and their craft. Seminars, after-parties, events, screenings, and the film market will all be live, as well. Films, Scripts, Music, and Artwork selected to be exhibited in our program will not only receive a free pass for our event but will also receive an all-access badge to ALL 15 MEGAFEST FESTIVAL PANELS, SCREENINGS, AND THEIR FREE EVENTS held during the same week. The networking opportunities are literally like no other in the world, where 15 diverse festival directors and their festivals have come together to support each other and their filmmakers by offering a wide variety of industry guests, seminar speakers, and panelists. We are like no other and resemble the concept of a movie EXPO, rather than a film festival with the main difference that your WORK got you there. Our judges take great pride in knowing their selected filmmakers to support them best with networking opportunities and to get them the best experience a filmmaker can have at a festival. Anabelle Munro's The Most Important Films Festival is all about highlighting the impact and meaning of the story - we call this artistic approach "purpose-driven" - be it a movie script or a film. The TMIF awards and showcases filmmakers and those who make impact films happen, and we also highly emphasize the networking element of our diverse, inclusive Festival. Past award winners and seminar speakers include Industry powerhouses such as producer Lee Broda (poet, activist, and producer of films such as "Tesla," "The Kindergarten Teacher," "A Private War"), Jacques Thelemaques (director and CEO and founder of the LA Filmmakers Alliance), and more. We love to honor filmmakers who create content with a message that achieves to reach a larger audience and crosses genre-defined boundaries. Our awards focus on quality, as well as the impact message and the way it is carried out. If your movie carries a message like the ones you see highlighted below, please submit! We look forward to reviewing your work from a perspective that is many times overlooked in film. We are not a corporate-run festival but independent because we are structured and do not judge by budget or other superficial standards. If your script or film has a profound message that serves to advance society and the planet, you have found a festival created for filmmakers like you. TMIF is an independent festival that resides beneath the umbrella of MegaFest, which is in its 17th year. The TMIF judges and founders celebrate the courageous talent that creates film as a unifier that transcends all cultures and languages. TMIF will run concurrently with the AOF MEGAFEST, the largest film event of its kind in the world. Held in Las Vegas at the Premiere Theaters and Locations, the show regularly exceeds 20,000 guests and attendees. Our Festival is open to ALL filmmakers and Writers in all genres and lengths. All submissions must make a creative and poignant statement, initiate an important dialogue, and make a difference in those who view it or read it. If you have a social impact film, we want to see it. What Makes A Film Important? Film is a gateway to other worlds, new realizations a deeper understanding of who, what, where, why and what we are. Social Causes, Drama, Documentary, Experimental Films, Music Videos, and the Written Word all compete daily for a space in our minds. This Celebration of film has only two purposes: A) Give audiences a chance to see work of the highest caliber in beautiful luxury theaters and B) Bring Recognition to some of the greatest filmmakers in the world.Sfilmmaker is our exclusive platform for cooperation in China, and we look forward to your good film.

We proudly stand independent in the community of film festivals. To remain financially independent, we do not offer stipends for housing, transport, meals, or free gala or event tickets. It is precisely this self-reliance and self-reliance that enables the TMIF and the AOF Megafest to offer a live event and gala show with entertainment and event photography, drinks, and food, whereas other sponsorship-dependent festivals had to switch online due to recent global events. Not us. We do not see the point in switching a film festival to an online event. We know that your work needs to be exhibited on a large screen and that in-person networking events and live gala shows can change a filmmaker's life and are invaluable to a film festival experience. Our Black-Tie Gala-ticket-prices are based on a flat fee, which covers what our guests will be receiving as services and goods during the event, such as food, drinks, professional event photography and videography, musical entertainment, and the exclusive awards for the selected winners. Festival badges do not cover our special events and award shows, except for the TMIF Grand Jury Winners, who will be notified in advance. If you want to join the celebration, please note that the Black-Tie Gala tickets are extremely limited and need to be purchased as early as possible to ensure a seat for you because we are celebrating a double season this year. We do not ship Awards. Each filmmaker whose work has been selected will receive two free festival badges upon arrival at the Festival. These passes are non-transferable and will give the filmmaker free access to all screenings of the 15 programs of the entire Megafest, as well as free seminars for the whole TMIF and AOF Megafest week. The festival pass will also include free entry to numerous fun filmmaking networking events, which will be announced closer to the event in Las Vegas, such as the annual art event and cocktail party, our filmmaker's brunch, and more.

With over 600 produced episodes, the program has been seen by millions of viewers worldwide. Del has worked in all phases of production including line producer, on multi-million dollar projects as well as micro-budget films. He believes that the major difference between a good project and a great project is a sensitive touch between the Above the Line, Below the Line Costs as well as an intimate knowledge of Union Agreements, Contracts, Payroll, Scheduling, and an understanding of how NOT to go over budget. Benefits such as Section 181, Tax Credits, and incentives, Insurance, etc., must be taken into account before the cameras roll. And, finally, the project must be made with an eye on sales and distribution at every level. Creating and producing all necessary Deliverables at every stage of production can and does make all the difference between success and failure. In 2014, Weston began publishing The Top 100 Books via iTunes which includes a series of interactive books that rank the top indie Writers and Directors in the World. Much of the talented folks in the books came directly from The Action On Film Festivals and the AOF Megasfest which Weston created and launched in 2005. In 2018 The AOF Megafest Magazine was born and the online magazine has grown with each and every issue in both size and scope. With profiles and stories on Top Indie Pros as well as folks new to the world of independent film, the magazine continues to give a voice to hundreds of creative folks from around the globe. Currently, Del is working on a slate of independent films which began in 2016 and features a series of ten films which include, The Victims, Trick, Ole King Cole, Clutch, The Jimmy Mulidore Story, Abi's Hands, DIE, and a few others which will be produced in 2021.
