Criteria: Films at NIFF 2019 should be made under the idea of ‘realistic fiction’, narratives portrayed in a realistic / believable setting. Films made before 2015 are not applicable for submission.
Entry: Submission through NIFF partner sfilmmaker.com is completely free, and submission through this platform remains valid till 30th September 2018.
Selection: All submitted films will be reviewed by the NIFF Official Selection Committee and the final list of selected films will be published post deadline. The finalist films will be screened at NIFF 2019 in February 2019. Finalists will be duly notified through sfilmmaker.com
Promotion: A matter of policy, upto 10% of screen time, film banner / stills and other information may be used as NIFF 2019 promotional material, should the films be selected to the final screening.
Jury: NIFF 2019 will have a 5-member jury panel for both Feature Length and Short Film Competitions, who will judge the entries on a marking based system, and the winners are determined by tallying marks under various areas from all 5 jurors, as a means to achieve fairplay. This process is valid for films received through sfilmmaker.com
Policy: NIFF 2019 accepts and adheres to sfilmmaker.com policies for privacy, ownership (trademark, copyright) and liability for all entries through the said online platform.
Returning of Entries: NIFF 2019 will securely store and archive all the received films, related designs, graphics and information even after the completion of NIFF 2019, and will not use it in any commercial or non-commercial way in the future, without express permission from the creators / owners through sfilmmaker.com.
