The first edition of the International Golden Rod Film Festival will take place from February 5 to 8, 2026, in Istanbul, Turkiye.

In order to be eligible for selection, films must be produced from 2022 to the present.
A selection committee, whose decisions will be final, chooses featured and short films in the Official Selection. All selected films may be included in national and international screenings organised online and offline by International Golden Rod Film Festival in 2026.

All submitted films must be subtitled:
– If the film is in Turkish, it must be subtitled in English;
– In the fillm is in any other language, subtitles must be in English;
– Subtitles of each film are the responsibility of its’ producers;
– All films should also provide a dialogue list in English.

Deadline for entries is November 20, 2025 at 21:00.

A list of selected films to be included in the 2026 Official Selection will be announced on our website on December 22th, 2025. Films that do not meet the criteria established by this call for entries will be excluded from the competition. All DVDs of selected works become property of the Festival for archival purposes. These materials will not be used for profit.
International Golden Rod Film Festival will establish screening dates and times for all selected films. Once selected, films cannot be withdrawn under any circumstance. Submitting films to International Golden Rod Film Festival implies full acceptance of the festival’s guidelines.
Please be advised that we do not pay screening fees for the film submitted.
The organizers may include the movies selected in 2026 in 2027 retrospectives of International Golden Rod Film Festival.

Running times for the short films sections of the festival are:
- Feature Films: minimum running time, 70 minutes;
- Short Films: maximum running time, 30 minutes.

Entries maybe on:
- DCP;
- Online Streaming Media (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)
- Dropbox
- .mov;
- .mp4

Press kit must include the following materials:
- Stills from the film with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI in either JPG, GIF, TIFF or PSD format (3 minimum);
- Poster of the film with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI in JPG, GIF or TIFF format;
- Trailer of the film and / or YouTube link;
- List of principal cast and crew;
- Entry form and signed authorizations.

The applicants must assume shipping costs of the submitted films. If you are using courier services, you must specify that the contents of the package are “NO COMMERCIAL VALUE: FOR CULTURAL PURPOSES ONLY”. The festival will not cover any taxes or duties generated by any submission. Deadline for reception of films and all related materials is January 25th, 2026. Postmark dates and shipping invoice for works sent by mail or Courier will be respected. SELECTED WORKS
Once a film has been included in the Official Selection, the applicant will have 15 days to send any missing materials and to confirm all information included in the entry form.
The film information submitted in the entry form will be the same information to be included in the catalogue. Any information or revisions sent after January 25, 2026 will not be taken into account. International Golden Rod Film Festival will acknowledge whoever signed the entry form as the sole representative of the selected film. This individual will be responsible regarding all aspects of the films’ participation in the festival. Confirmation from the film’s representative signifies the full acceptance of all of the festival’s guidelines, with no exceptions.

Screening copies of the films in the Official Selection must adhere to the technical requirements of each section of the festival. Screening formats in the Official Selection are DCP, QuickTime H264. The festival’s management reserves the right to decline screening copies of a film that are deemed of insufficient technical quality for their presentation to audiences. All representatives of films selected to the Official Selection must deliver no later than January 25th, 2026.

- An English subtitled copy of the film in any of the aforementioned mentioned formats is required.
- Any situation not included in this text will be considered and resolved by the festival’s management team.

Uluslararası Altın Başak Film Festivali’nin ilk edisyonu, 5–8 Şubat 2026 tarihleri arasında İstanbul, Türkiye’de gerçekleştirilecektir.

Seçime uygun olabilmek için, filmlerin 2022 yılı ile günümüz arasında üretilmiş olması gerekmektedir.
Festivalin Resmi Seçkisi’ne dahil edilecek uzun ve kısa metrajlı filmler, kararı kesin olan bir seçici kurul tarafından belirlenir. Seçilen tüm filmler, 2026 yılı boyunca Uluslararası Altın Başak Film Festivali tarafından çevrimiçi ve fiziksel olarak düzenlenecek ulusal ve uluslararası gösterimlere dahil edilebilir.

Tüm başvuru yapılan filmlerde altyazı zorunludur:
– Film Türkçe ise, İngilizce altyazı eklenmelidir;
– Film başka bir dilde ise, İngilizce altyazı eklenmelidir;
– Her filmin altyazılarından yapımcısı sorumludur;
– Ayrıca, tüm filmler İngilizce diyalog listesini de sunmalıdır.

Son başvuru tarihi: 20 Kasım 2025, saat 21:00.

2026 Resmi Seçkisi'ne dahil edilen filmler, 22 Aralık 2025 tarihinde internet sitemizde açıklanacaktır. Bu çağrıda belirtilen kriterleri karşılamayan filmler yarışma dışı bırakılacaktır. Seçilen eserlerin DVD kopyaları, festival arşivine alınmak üzere festivalin mülkiyetine geçecektir. Bu materyaller kâr amacıyla kullanılmayacaktır.

Uluslararası Altın Başak Film Festivali, seçilen filmlerin gösterim tarihlerini ve saatlerini belirleme hakkını saklı tutar. Seçilen filmler, hiçbir koşulda festivalden çekilemez. Festivale film göndermek, festival kurallarının tamamen kabul edildiği anlamına gelir. Lütfen unutmayınız ki, gönderilen filmler için gösterim ücreti ödenmemektedir. Ayrıca, seçilen filmler 2027 yılında düzenlenecek Uluslararası Altın Başak Film Festivali retrospektif gösterimlerinde yer alabilir.

Festivalin kısa film bölümü için süre sınırları:

* Uzun metraj: minimum 70 dakika;
* Kısa film: maksimum 30 dakika.

Basın kiti şu materyalleri içermelidir:

* Fragman ve/veya YouTube bağlantısı;

Başvuran kişi, gönderilen filmlerin nakliye masraflarını karşılamakla yükümlüdür. Kargo gönderimlerinde, paketin içeriği “TİCARİ DEĞERİ YOKTUR: SADECE KÜLTÜREL AMAÇLIDIR” şeklinde belirtilmelidir. Festival, gönderim sırasında oluşabilecek vergi veya gümrük masraflarını karşılamaz. Filmlerin ve ilgili tüm materyallerin son teslim tarihi: 25 Ocak 2026’dır. Posta/kargo ile gönderilen eserlerde gönderi fişi ve posta damgası tarihleri geçerli olacaktır. Tüm belgeler ve izleme kopyaları ve dijital materyaller şu adrese gönderilmelidir: 

**SEÇİLEN ESERLER**
Bir film Resmi Seçki’ye dahil edildiğinde, başvuru sahibi 15 gün içinde eksik materyalleri göndermek ve başvuru formundaki bilgileri teyit etmekle yükümlüdür. Başvuru formunda belirtilen bilgiler, festival kataloğunda da kullanılacaktır. 25 Ocak 2026’dan sonra gönderilen bilgi ya da değişiklikler dikkate alınmayacaktır. Uluslararası Altın Başak Film Festivali, başvuru formunu imzalayan kişiyi, filmin tek temsilcisi olarak kabul eder. Bu kişi, filmin festivaldeki tüm süreçlerinden sorumlu olur. Temsilcinin onayı, festival kurallarının hiçbir istisna olmadan kabul edildiği anlamına gelir.

Resmi Seçki’ye dahil edilen filmlerin gösterim kopyaları, festival bölümlerinin teknik gerekliliklerine uygun olmalıdır. Gösterim formatları: DCP ve QuickTime H264. Festival yönetimi, teknik olarak yetersiz bulunan kopyaların gösterimini reddetme hakkını saklı tutar. Seçilen tüm filmlerin temsilcileri, gösterim kopyalarını **en geç 25 Ocak 2026** tarihine kadar teslim etmekle yükümlüdür.
