Introduction to the film festival

El Rodeo Film Fest is organized by the Department of Culture of the Rojales City Council (Alicante, Spain). Fiction, documentary and animation short films and feature films are accepted.

Awards

- Jury Award for Best Short Film, with a prize of €300.00 + trophy.

- Audience Award for Best Short Film, with a prize of €300.00 + trophy.

- Award for Best Short Film of the Province of Alicante, with a prize of €300 + trophy.

The rules to participate in El Rodeo Film Fest of Rojales (Alicante), Spain whose date of celebration will be from Augut 28th to 31st, 2025, are the following:


1. Participation


The festival is international. They may participate short films from any nationality. The number of short films per participant is unlimited.


1.1 Short film’s duration


The maximum duration for each short film is 30 minutes, including the credits.


1.2 Genre


The genres of fiction, animation and documentary are accepted.


1.3 Language


The official language is Spanish. Registered works in a different language, should include subtitles in this language.


2.1 Registration fees


Each short film will have a entry fee of € 5.


2.2 Registration dates


Short films registration will begin on Juny 23th, 2025 and will close on July 23th, 2025.


3. Selected works


From the short films registered, the finalists will be selected that will become part of the screenings. Each selected work must send a projection copy in digital format.


4. Prize


- Jury Award for Best Short Film, with a prize of €300.00 + trophy.

- Audience Award for Best Short Film, with a prize of €300.00 + trophy.

- Award for Best Short Film of the Province of Alicante, with a prize of €300 + trophy.


5. Legal


All selected participants will transferred the short films exhibition rights during the festival (on Augut 28th to 31st, 2025). The festival will not transfer to any third party any rights to the films that were registered and screened.


Participants will be held responsible of any misuse of copyrighted music or any other infringement of any already existing material for which they do not have express permission from the author.


6. Agreement of these Rules


Participation in the festival implies acceptance these rules.
