Introduction to the film festival
MonteCine has the vision of being a world cinema festival, aimed at the participation of films from all continents, that reflect the different cultures and languages. Look for diversity first of all, that's why all the cinematographic expressions, from the conservative to the most experimental, have a place. It will take place in Montevideo, from July 07 to 09, 2023.Sfilmmaker is our exclusive platform for cooperation in China, and we look forward to your good film.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE FESTIVAL Features and short films will be accepted. a) Fiction, documentary, experimental and animation short films. Maximum duration: 35 minutes. b) Fiction, documentary, experimental and animation feature films. Minimum duration: 36 minutes. BASES The MonteCine organization organizes the IX film festival that will take place in July 2023 in Montevideo. 1-The films selected to enter the contest will be chosen by the Organization after viewing, by a set of "pre-selection". 2-The mode of participation in the festival is through three means: a) the direct invitation by the organizers; b) submission of works through direct submission to the SFILMMAKER and paying the corresponding registration fee;c) through: Registrations can be made until June 28, 2023. 3- If the film is not spoken in Spanish, it must be subtitled in this language or in English. 4-The participating films accept the public exhibition during the festival date. 5- The competing categories are the following: Fiction Feature Film Documentary Feature Film Animation Feature film Experimental Feature Film Fiction short film Documentary Short Film Animation Short Film Experimental short film Art video short 7-The following awards have been established: Best Fiction Feature Film Award Best Documentary Feature Film Award Best Animation Feature film Award Best Experimental Feature Film Award Best Fiction short film Award Best Documentary Short Film Award Best Animation Short Film Award Best Experimental short film Award Best Art video short (In case there is not enough level in any category, the Organization may declare the prize desert) 8-The organization will communicate in advance enough to the selected and the winners of the prizes. Notification of selection: July 2, 2023. 9-The participants in this show accept each and every one of the points that form the bases of the IX edition of the Montevideo World Film Festival.
