Introduction to the film festival
The "Excellent Domestic Film Screening and Exchange Event" is an exhibition and exchange event held during the Guangzhou Film Industry Expo and Trade Fair, hosted by the China World Film Society, organized by the Guangzhou Non-Fiction Image Innovation and Development Center, and co-organized by the New Film Circle Film Festival Platform. The China World Film Society is under the supervision of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee. It is the first mass academic exchange group in China to engage in professional exhibitions, research and evaluation of films from all over the world, and promote cooperation and interaction between Chinese and world films. It is a bridge and bond for exchanges, communication and cooperation between Chinese and world films. The Guangzhou Film Industry Expo and Trade Fair is hosted by the Guangzhou Municipal Government and undertaken by the Publicity Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee. It will be unveiled to the world in Guangzhou from September 27 to 29, 2024.
Awards
1. A total of 8 films will be collected, and they will be screened at China Film South International Cinema (Liuhua Center Store) from September 29 to October 7, and certificates of excellent films will be issued.
2. Each film will be screened three times.
3. During the screening, each film will hold a premiere event in Guangzhou, a film-entering campus event, or a meeting with the main creators. The above exchange activities will be reported and promoted in the form of news in major mainstream media such as Guangming.com and People's Daily.
4. The selected films can participate in the "Chinese Film Masterpiece Creation and High-quality Development Talent Training Course" guided by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Film Art Center, the China World Film Society, and the Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and hosted by the Guangdong Film Association for free. Each film is limited to one place.
Rules
1. The film must obtain a public screening license, and it must be obtained after November 2022;
2. Priority will be given to outstanding domestic films that have been shortlisted or nominated at international A-level film festivals, or have won awards at other internationally renowned important film festivals (such as the Oscars, European Independent Film Festival, etc.);
3. The qualifications for participating films include: films shot by mainland (mainland) film production agencies, films co-produced by mainland (mainland) film production agencies and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan film production agencies, films co-produced by mainland (mainland) film production agencies and foreign film production agencies, and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan films approved for distribution in the mainland (mainland) by the State Film Administration (excluding films co-produced by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan film production agencies and foreign film production agencies);
4. There is no limit on the number of participating films from the same unit or individual;
5. The exclusive official online channel for film collection is the co-organizer New Film Circle Platform;
6. The selected films will be screened in Guangzhou, and registration means that your film will be screened;
7. This screening event only accepts feature films, not documentaries or animations;
8. Registration and submission indicate acceptance of all rules and regulations of the organizing committee of this event, and this organizing committee has the final right of interpretation.
