ANY GENRE, ANY YEAR OUTSTANDING FILMS RULES AND SUBMISSIONS The entrant/submitter/moviemaker hereby certifies that he possesses the right(s) and all of the proper clearances to submit the movie, including, but not limited to image rights, talent releases, soundtrack and/or source music releases; and assumes all responsibility for their material. NEWBORN SHORT FILM FESTIVAL accepts no responsibility, financial or otherwise, for any movie submitted to the festival. Every entry/submission will be judged based on its directing, acting, technical, and artistic merits, as related to the submission. All decisions made by the judge(s) are considered final and incontestable. We reserve the right not to give all of the possible awards if we don’t receive enough entries in a particular category or if none of the submissions meet our high judging standards. Entry fees are nonrefundable. Multiple entries are allowed. You can submit more than one film to the same category. All submissions in any language must be subtitled in English. The english subtitles must be embed in the film file. No additional .srt files will be accepted. NewBorn Short Film Festival reserves the right to disqualify any film whose submitter might be in any way linked to illicit or criminal acts, proven or otherwise. The selected, nominated and awarded movies promotional material will be announced and viewable in our site and in our social media pages. The selected films rightful owners of the rights, in each category of every edition, hereby authorise the film’s live screening in NewBorn Short Film Agency's events. This authorisation is an indispensable condition for the inclusion in the festival’s official selection.

Dimitris Argyriou Dimitris Argyriou is a Berlin based film director & programmer. He graduated from Audio & Visual Arts department of Ionian University (Master of Arts) and from Universität der Kunste - Berlin (UDK – Berlin). He participated as director at Berlinale Talents, Sarajevo Talents, Talent Development Campus of Cork Film Festival and Breaking Ground Talents of Go Short Film Festival between other residencies and film programs. He directed 9 short films, which have won more than 60 awards & screened in more than 800 international film festival. Except his film work, he is founder and manager of NewBorn Short Film Agency, providing Festival & Distribution Strategy for short and feature films. He is Head of Short Film Programming and of New Vision Competition of Hellas FilmBox Berlin and served as Festival Director at the same festival from 2016 to 2018. He is founder and festival director of NewBorn Short Film Festival in Berlin. He was Head of Short Film Programming at Aegean Film Festival (2016-2019), member of the selection committee and programmer at International Short Film Festival in Berlin – Interfilm (2013 – 2016), he was working in Guest Management Office of Berlinale-Berlin International Film Festival (2014-2017) and he was Artistic Director of Shortcutz Berlin (2013-2015). He worked as guest curator for various film festivals, such as Fest: New Directors/New Films Film Festival in Portugal, in which he did a special program with Greek short films. Meanwhile, he was Jury Member in various Film Festivals such as Hollywood Film Festival, US (2020), Shortcutz Berlin, Germany (2019), Boddinale Film Festival, Germany (2018), Short of the Year 2017, Spain, Landshut Short Film Festival, Germany (2017), Balkan Beyond Borders Film Festival, Sofia, Bulgaria (2016) and Alpinale Short Film Festival, Austria (2016).
