Welcome to 9FilmFest, an international annual event held in Bangkok, the greatest city in South East Asia. This year, our 7th festival will be held at Cinema Oasis, on Bangkok’s pristine Sukhumvit road, not far from the famous Emquartier Mall. 9Fest was founded by filmmakers, for filmmakers and audience. We accept all genres of short films from around the world. And provide the opportunity for your film to be accepted into competition. “9” is the luckiest number in Thailand. Thus, 9 films are selected as Competition Finalists. The science of film, needs festivals to screen film and create memorable and inspiring experiences for filmmakers and audience (film lovers). Past years at 9Fest, have included famous jury members, Oscar winner, George Miller (Mad Max), Apichartpong Weerasethakul (Palme d’Or winner), and Prince Chatrichalerm Yukol. 9Fest is a film festival where selected films will be shown in two cities! What could be more spectacular than screening your short along with fans and filmmakers from around the world! 9Fest is again, honored to partner with Indy Shorts International Film Festival (Indianapolis, Indiana, USA) held July 25 – 28, 2019. Last year, the 9Fest Program screened at the magnificent Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields. This year, we will again present carefully selected films from our 9Fest Competition section. The selected films will be included in the Indy Shorts Film Festival in July 25 - 28, 2019! We look forward to seeing your film and include it to be shown in two cities!! The creative world is at your fingertips. 9FilmFest’s goal is to support filmmakers, applaud their hard work, spark creativity and provide opportunities for discovery. We’re here to make filmmakers dreams come true. 9Fest looks forward to see your amazing stories. We’re a film festival whose selected films will be shown in two cities! This Thai and American collaboration, gives filmmakers the chance to screen their films in Thailand and America. We ensure your consideration in submitting and trusting us with your film. In collaboration with Indy Shorts The 9Fest Finalist Committee will choose select films from competition and create a 9Fest Program for screening at Indy Shorts! This exclusive 9Fest Program will screen at Indy Shorts July 25 -28, 2019.

To be eligible for the 9FilmFest, films must comply with the following: - The film must have been completed on or after January 1, 2018. - The film must be less than 40 minutes in length. - The film cannot require dual projection (interlock) or separate soundtracks. Non-English films must be subtitled in English. - If your film is selected in the 9Fest Program for screening at Indy Shorts. The film must be available for up to 5 screenings during Indy Shorts, July 25 - 28, 2019. - There must not be a screening fee attached to the film. 9FilmFest and Indy Shorts will not pay a screening fee to any film featured in the Festival; there are no exceptions.
The submitting filmmaker must be either the producer or director of the film. Entries are accepted exclusively through www.sfilmmaker.com. • A completed official entry on sfilmmaker.com must be digitally signed by the filmmaker. • Payment of the non-refundable entry fee must accompany the submission. • Link to a functional streaming video file in high definition 720p or 1080p. If the link is password-protected, the password is mandatory.
All filmmakers will be notified by email before 28 April, 2019. 9FilmFest reserves the right to release basic information about selected films as early as May. 9FEST PROGRAM SCREENING @ INDY SHORTS - If your film is selected for 9Fest program at Indy Shorts, you are eligible for all the benefits of inclusion at Indy Shorts.
