Introduction to the film festival

NEFILTRAVANAE KINO is a film festival that is held by the Short Movie Club, the platform for cinematic projects. NEFILTRAVANAE KINO is ADAMI Media Prize qualified festival. NEFILTRAVANAE KINO is an exploration of aestheticization and commodification in art. The aim of the festival is to expose the complexity, manysidedness, and variety of filmmaking. The festival is placed in Belarus country with former bolshevism traditions. We involve theater, artists to interpret symbols and history. We work with the audience's reaction and participants' as well.Sfilmmaker is our exclusive platform for cooperation in China, and we look forward to your good film.

The Short Movie Club Film Festival invites as many participants as possible. Our team hopes to create a community, brotherhood of indie filmmakers to celebrate together a spirit of indie cinema. We accommodate selected participants. Other participants are lodged if there are free places. The festival's team helps with all visas issues and accommodation during the festival for selected participants. Films with runtime no longer than 45 minutes are allowed to participate in the festival. There is no limit on how many works one participant can send. The participant that sends the application must guarantee observance of copyright on the works sent. All responsibility for copyright observance lies on the contestant. Each work must have a subtitle file attached separately. The subtitles must be in English and in SRT or SUB format. The use of any other format is allowed only after coordination with the organizing committee. We compile comments of viewers, cinephiles, and experts and send them to filmmakers. We don't accept TV-films and films for children.

Mikhail Tumelya Director. Animator. Artist. Writer. Educator. Member of the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA). Specialist in drawing, puppet, sand animation, 2D-computer animation. Worked at the largest studios in Russia, USA, Hungary, Korea, Japan.
Darya Zhyk Belarus-born director, producer. Her debut feature film “Crystal Swan” was Belarus’ first entry into the Academy Award’s Best Foreign Language category in 22 years.
Andrew Howe Andrew Howe is Professor La Sierra University (Riverside, California). Participant in the II Film Studies Conference “Nefiltravanae Kino”.
Alies Lapo Alies Lapo is a director, organizer of the online documentary film festival BelarusDocs. Winner of the Gran-Prix of the VI Short Movie Club Film Festival “Nefiltravanae Kino”.
Maxim Zhbankov Cultural scientist, film analyst, journalist. He is the author of numerous publications on contemporary culture. Presenter of author’s programs on radio and television. PhD in philosophy.
Dekel Berenson Dekel Berenson is a UK-based writer, director, and member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Drawing inspiration from traveling to more than sixty countries, Dekel explores real-world social and humanitarian issues. His short film Anna premiere in Competition at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival, won the Best British Short award at the 22nd BIFA awards, and was shortlisted for a BAFTA.
Pierre Villemin Pierre Villemin is a director and producer. He is interested by experimental filmic practices related to reality. In 2020, His short film film “Le nécrophone” won the uniFrance experimental prize at the International Festival Tous Courts in Aix-en-Provence. And « Faces » won the best short documentary prize at the VI Short Movie Club Film Festival “Nefiltravanae Kino”. At the Ecole Supérieure d’Art de Lorraine – Metz (France), professor of art education in Moving Image.
